And, as always, there is an interesting legend about this plant. There lived a healer who healed people with living water. One day, the king, whose son was terminally ill, ordered him to be brought to the palace. The old man was in such a hurry to help that he dropped the bowl of healing water from his hands. In despair, he fell to the ground and cried bitterly. And suddenly he saw that in the place where the water spilled, a plant had grown, which said: “I took your living water. Take me and save the sick.” And the healer saved the king’s son. Since then, the healing herb – plantain – has been growing by the roads…
